These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Resonant application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Thomas Schlossmacher (“we”, “us”, or “the Operator”). By downloading, installing, or using Resonant, you agree to these Terms.
Resonant is a voice dictation application for macOS that processes speech entirely on your device using local AI models. The Service includes the Resonant desktop application and optional companion features such as Relay (local network phone-to-Mac connectivity) and Dispatch (local automation).
All payments for Resonant are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). Paddle acts as the seller of record for all transactions and handles billing, sales tax, VAT, and payment processing on our behalf.
When you purchase Resonant, your contract of sale is with Paddle. Paddle's terms and buyer policies apply to all payment-related matters. We do not store or process your payment information directly.
For billing inquiries, you may contact Paddle directly or reach out to us at support@resonant.app and we will assist you.
Subject to these Terms and your payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Resonant on macOS devices that you own or control, for personal or professional use.
You may not:
Resonant may offer a free trial or free tier with limited functionality. Paid plans unlock additional features as described on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features and pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscriptions will not be affected during their current billing period.
We offer a straightforward refund policy. If you are not satisfied with Resonant for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details on how to request a refund.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG), implementing EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
For digital content delivered electronically, this withdrawal right expires once the download or access to the digital content has begun, provided that you have given your express prior consent to begin performance and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal.
Regardless of the statutory withdrawal rules, our Refund Policy offers you a refund at any time if you are not satisfied.
Resonant processes all voice and text data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your voice recordings, transcriptions, or any content you create using the application. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy.
Resonant, its logo, design, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Thomas Schlossmacher. All content you create using Resonant belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership or rights over your dictations, notes, or any other content produced through the application.
Resonant is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of speech recognition output.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This limitation does not affect mandatory consumer protection rights under Austrian or EU law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the application or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Austria.
If you are a consumer within the EU/EEA, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@resonant.app.
